I'm not a modeler, but thoroughly enjoy seeing the posts, particularily with respect to the detail. Anyway, here's one for yins who need a prototype example of mixing anything wth anything. Warren, PA, on the Allegheny RR, 9/86. Leased units B&LE 825 and Pittsburgh & Shawmet 10, along with ALY 103 (disguised as a Santa Fe CF7). Attachments:

I don't know if I'm at Barstow, Brookville, or Butler... Actually, both the 825 and P&S 10 could be seen at Butler, as the Shawmut Geeps occasionally showed up at the B&P engine terminal. If I remember correctly, that Shawmut 10 (maybe it was it was 11) was still set up for long hood foward operation, despite having a chop nose. Thanks for sharing this one.

The snow's flying, so it's time to start thinking Spring! Here's the 843 and ALY 102 on the Allegheny approaching Erie at Lake Pleasant Road overpass, May, 1986. Attachments:

Had previously posted several photos of B&LE units running into Erie while on lease to the Allegheny. These two are far from great as it was late in the evening, and I was really pushing the exposure for what light was left. Here's the ALY 101 leading a log train into town - - - - - Attachments:

- - continued from prior post. As mentioned, light was poor, but the operation was interesting, to say the least. For a time when the SD-9's came onto the ALY, six axle power was not permitted into Erie's OD yard. So here's the 825 shoving on the rear end of the train that had the ALY 101 on the point. Photos taken in July of 1986. How often did you see a Bessemer unit on a log train? Attachments:
