Thought I would share my good fortune. I am in the early stages of building a roughly 22'x11' Bessemer themed HO railroad. The plan is for a 2' wide oval, in an "L" shape. I plan on having a yard represent both Butler, and Shenango, "on line staging". Across from the yard I will have Grove City, with a passing track and a small yard and switching opportunities. I will have spurs representing mines and other on line customers as space allows. I am going to try to model the porter cutoff, as seen from the hill on US 62 coming from Mercer. This will take quite awhile to complete, due to limited modeling time. I hope to take and share pictures of the progress.

I would love to see photos. I'm hopefully going to start building a western PA/NY inspired layout myself here this fall.

Here is as far as I have gotten with the benchwork. Western Pa. home grown (planted, cut and milled) hybrid poplar 1x3's. I will start assembly the next time I'm home. (not much modeling when I truck a month at a time) Attachments:

John,
Get anytime off the highway to get some bench work done? Summer is a hard time of the year for model trains but what little you get done now will put your further ahead in the fall! Now I need to get my butt moving on some bench work myself...
