This is a Keywell Corporation (KEYX) gondola used for hauling scrap. This HO scale car is a Roundhouse car custom painted by me as a KEYX scrap gon. Cars similar to this can occasionally be seen hauling scrap on the Bessemer. While its not a true B&LE model, it does fit in well with B&LE locomotives and rolling stock. Attachments:

Thanks for sharing this model with us. Great example of cars other then hoppers that are or have served the B&LE and its customers along the line.

Heres another Keywell car. This one is from the KEYX 3000 series, which features a white rotary coupler end instead of an orange one like on the two previous cars I did. The number font is different, it looks very similar (but not exact) to B&LE numbers, which is what I used. I went a bit too heavy on the weathering and it covered up most of the rusty scratches down the sides of the car. Plus it was cloudy outside when I took the picture of it, but I think it still looks good. These 3000 series cars seemed to be common on the south end of the Bessemer back in the late 90's, at least in some photos and video I've seen.
