RailroadRadio.net has just gone Live this a.m. with its all-new Greater Pittsburgh Area Railroad RADIO Receiver Stream. It hasn't been quiet for more than a few seconds during my initial 'test-drive'. The new Greater Pittsburgh site they turned up is situated at 1,200' above mean sea level in Munhall, affording much greater coverage vs. the old site, down in a river valley in Pittsburgh. At this time, the new receiver listens to: CH1. AAR-008 (160.230) CSX Road Channel CH2. AAR-037 (160.665) CSX BA Dispatcher Channel CH3. AAR-046 (160.800) NS Main Line CH4. AAR-064 (161.070) NS Mon Line (CH1) CH5. AAR-050 (160.860) NS Mon Line (CH2) CH6. AAR-010 (160.260) Union Railroad CH7. AAR-048 (160.830) Bessemer & Lake Erie (Canadian National) CH8. AAR-061 (161.025) Wheeling & Lake Erie The direct link to the page is: www.railroadradio.net/content/view/195/236/There is also a welcome message for the Greater Pittsburgh stream located at their front page. Either will work. (RailroadRadio.net also has sites listening to rail action in South Carolina, California, Virginia, Oregon, Montana, Colorado and elsewhere.): www.railroadradio.netThey're creating an interactive Google Map of all the main lines for the 5 Greater Pittsburgh railroads featured, with markers for the Signal call-out points, Control Points, Defect Detectors, etc. that can be heard. A work-in-process.
