Switching Emsco in Girard yesterday, Nov 8, 2013. Still amazes me that the line is still in service ! Attachments:

I agree, I am surprised they have not handed off trackage from Emsco to the NS and pulled up the rails back to Albion. Maybe NS/CN continue dialogue on keeping the bridge route open.
Good catch on our Canadian friend, seems the 5245 has seen all of the railroad in its short time on the BLE sub already.

I think the same thing about the Erie branch y is it still in service? Makes no sense for a few rare moves. But i also think that stretch of track from Albion to Girard would be a good senic line run a engine or two and a few passenger cars in Bessemer colors would be great. When the day comes they pull rail it will be a very very sad day.
