Still standing, the dates on the photos are accurate. In fact if you look in the 3rd photo you can see where you can walk right inside. However kids have thrown all the furniture outside.

Ya as I recall the kids really did a number on the place. I'm surprised its still there.

One of the very few remaining vintage wooden Bessemer structures. Too bad it's not someplace that makes sense, from a practical standpoint, to preserve it.

the roof looks to be in better shape than rest of bldg., used to be a big boiler in the basement w/an auto. stoker(when I worked m.o.w. out of Curtisville, we would tend to it once per day), in one of the pics, appears to be a natural gas service line on the side of the bldg, too bad the place was not upkept(is that a word?).

I live right down the road from the scale house. It is still standing! I wonder how long until CN tears it down.
